Many of you have closely followed the “Remember Chernobyl (1986-2011)” charity project organized by Ambientaria Records, which consisted in the release of a 19-tracks dark ambient compilation in order to raise money for the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.
This album was released both as a digital version still available on CDBaby.com and as a 50-copies limited CD, which is now sold out.
More than $850 were raised thanks to this venture (read the detailed official benefit report). As a consequence, we thought it would be good to look back on this project and draw some conclusions.
Here is an official video presenting our results. Thanks to all of you for your interest in this project. Please note that if you haven’t got your copy yet, you may still buy it on CDBaby.com.
How Nice…Here’s To Continued Success…
Thank you very much !
Why only 50 CDs? If you have one left, or plan to burn more, we would be happy to trade you one CD for one of our Rock The Reactors t-shirts! Big anti-nuclear day of events around America on Oct 1st. Do you have artists in New York interested in joining activities?
Hi,
50 CDs, because we at the time we couldn’t invest more money to make more CDs. Also, we’ve decided to make a limited version, so it would have no meaning to re-press CDs afterwards 🙂
So no, there’s no CD left, sorry =/
However if you’re willing to get a copy of the album you may still get the digital version here : http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/rememberchernobyl1986201
Finally, I don’t think any artist was coming from NYC, sorry
Kind regards,
Valenten
